Ian grew up in central New Jersey where music was a part of his life from a young age. He started working as the Lighting Director for the Stone Pony in 2015 and became Stage Manager not long after. In 2018, he joined Pulse Lighting as the Lighting Director for Brandi Carlile and relocated to Nashville to continue his work. Ian has toured as the Lighting Director for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit since 2021. We recently discovered that he plays a flawless version of “Maple Leaf Rag” on the piano.
