Lake Street Dive

Lake Street Dive is a multi-genre band founded in 2004, consisting of lead vocalist Rachael Price, upright-bassist Bridget Kearney, drummer Mike Calabrese, and Mike “McDuck” Olson playing trumpet and guitar. Lake Street Dive is jazz-schooled, pop-obsessed, and Motown-infused. Price’s forthright vocals anchor Lake Street’s evocative songcraft and infectious vibe, creating a sound with familiar roots, but with a slant entirely their own.

Through texture and geometry, the lighting design reflects the soulful influences of swing-era jazz and the propulsive pop energy of the 60s and 80s.

Lake Street Dive signed with Nonesuch Records in 2015 and released Side Pony in February 2016.
