Celebrating over twenty-years of experience in the lighting industry, Mikey joined the Pulse Lighting team in February 2013 as a fill-in lighting director for the Colbie Caillat tour. Soon after he was chosen to design a vintage lighting concept using high technology and artistic flare for Old Crow Medicine Show. He has since gone on to create several custom, scenic lighting elements for other Pulse clients, such as Jason Isbell and John Prine. Mikey also designs the lighting for Brandi Carlile, Lake Street Dive, Slightly Stoopid, Margo Price, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones.
As a lighting designer, Mikey strives to accent the artists’ individuality while developing suggestive moods to complement their music. He works directly with artists, manufacturers, and vendors to utilize the latest technology to create the most organic feel possible.
