Warehouse Manager

Pulse Lighting is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our growing team. This position will oversee all warehouse-related operations in support of the technical build of entertainment lighting and video systems in preparation for events, festivals or concert tours. The Warehouse Manager will work cooperatively with the sales and technical services departments, LDs and shop technicians to ensure that each project has the required planning, crew and equipment. He/she will effectively dovetail project resources with other projects taking place simultaneously.   

 This is a permanent, full-time position located in Nashville, TN.  

 Duties:  

  • Maintain and oversee a clean, organized, well-staffed and well-equipped warehouse. 
  • Work cooperatively with account representatives and project managers to establish project schedules, staffing and equipment provisioning.
  • Work cooperatively with the Technical Services department to be sure repairs/tech services are on schedule to fulfill upcoming orders.
  • Develop master project schedule and maintain the online project calendar.
  • Schedule and manage shop crew. Approve weekly hours for payroll.
  • Maintain lighting inventory and asset management – to include barcoding, labeling, and ensuring computer database of equipment to be current and accurate at all times.
  • Assist with finding and sub-renting external equipment as required.
  • Order and maintain an inventory of needed shop supplies.
  • Supervise shipping operations.
  • Oversee routine required maintenance and certification of equipment (example: chain motor certifications, soft good fire-treatment) 

Requirements:  

  • Extensive experience with entertainment lighting systems including paperwork, rigging, power, DMX systems, safety protocol.  
  • Candidate must be highly organized and able to handle high-pressure situations and tight timelines. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills – strong knowledge of computers and office software.  
  • Managerial experience. Comfortable with directing shop and tour technicians on systems builds with an eye towards Pulse best practices and standards.  
  • Comfortable interfacing with clients as required to ensure needs are met.
  • Live in the greater Nashville area or be willing to relocate.

Lighting Project Manager

Pulse Lighting is seeking an experienced Lighting Project Manager to join our growing team. This position will entail overseeing the technical design and build of entertainment lighting and video systems in preparation for events, festivals or concert tours. The Lighting Project Manager will work cooperatively with the sales department, LDs, Warehouse Manager and shop technicians to ensure that each project has the required planning, crew and equipment. He/she will effectively dovetail project resources with other projects taking place simultaneously. 

 This is a permanent, full-time position located in Nashville, TN. 

 Duties: 

  • Work interactively with sales reps to ensure proposals are technically accurate, complete and feasible. 
  • Plan each project thoroughly.  Generate CAD drawings and paperwork. 
  • Assist with finding and hiring external project crew and technicians as required. 
  • Work with Warehouse Manager to ensure sub-hired equipment is provisioned. 
  • Work with Warehouse Manager to develop project schedule. 
  • Oversee project build.  Develop solutions to technical issues and challenges as they arise. 
  • Supervise project teardown and travel methodology. 
  • Oversee projects on-site in special circumstances. 
  • Participate in project management of permanent installation projects. 
  • Assist in development and implementation of Pulse best practices and methodologies. 

Requirements: 

  • Extensive experience with entertainment lighting systems including paperwork, rigging, power, networking, DMX systems, fundamental understanding of console programming. 
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks and other industry standard software applications. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills – strong knowledge of computers and office software. 
  • Be comfortable interfacing with clients as required to ensure needs are met. 
  • Candidate must be highly organized and able to handle high-pressure situations and tight timelines. 
  • Live in the greater Nashville area or be willing to relocate.
